The Toyota Prototype Plant

The Toyota Prototype Plant is one of registered tangible cultural property in Japan. In 1933, Toyota Industries Corporation established its automobile division. In those days, cars made by Ford and General Motors (GM) held 90% of the market. Developing the prototype plant was a challenge that began with obtaining iron and continued with repeated trial and error. Finally, their passion for creating cars and enriching the lives of people by cars made in Japan was realized. They completed the model of the A1 prototype used for passengers and the model of the G1 used for trucks. Don’t miss this great chance to experience the passion that went into the challenge of car manufacturing from scratch!!
